FINAL DESIGN
The final design of the project reflects its vision. The architectural expression of the buildings shows a clear contrast between the new and sustainable and the old and industrial character of Strijp-S. With beautiful and playful wooden facades, residents and visitors are invited over to the site, where they can experience many art pieces created by the community, as well as cafés, shops and workspaces. Project EDGE forms in this way a very vibrant and enjoyable area on the edge of Strijp-S.

SECTIONS
The building's louvres have a huge impact on how the buildings are experienced. They soften the buildings impact and play an important role in the whole experience of the buildings. They allow optimal sunlight to flood the interior while at the same time maintaining necessary privacy of the inhabitants. On sunny days, residents are able to adjust the orientation of the louvres to avoid overheating of the apartments. It is the extraordinairy facade with the wave like patterns that stimulates people to interact with the buildings. In addition to that, it offers the possibility for users to enhance and affirm the identity of the buildings. The creative atmosphere in the area is a result of the playful and expressionistic facades.
